The Rhythms of One World International Choral Festival made its highly anticipated return to stages across New York City during the 26-29 June 2015. Presented by Friendship Ambassadors Foundation, Inc. (FAF), an internationally recognized non-governmental organization, the Rhythms of One World 2015 opened on Friday, 26 June with a gala concert in the iconic General Assembly Hall of the United Nations Headquarters in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the signing of the UN Charter “We The Peoples.” The festival with then continue with Friendship Concerts at the NYU Eisner and Lubin Auditorium on Saturday June 27, and conclude at Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center on the 29 June.
The Rhythms of One World International Choral Festival is considered unique from others musical events in that it focuses not only on great performances, but also on the role of music as a universal language that promotes intercultural understanding, brotherhood, and peace among nations.
The 2015 Rhythms of One World International Choral Festival featured outstanding choral groups: The Singing Angels (USA), Allegretto Children’s Choir (Romania), Chamber Choir Ivan Filipović (Croatia), and National Center for the Performing Arts Choir (People’s Republic of China). Special performances will be made by the UN Rock Music Group and additional special guests.
